Condition: Very good condition given its age. Front and back cover are in solid condition. There is some tearing on the edges of the front and back cover, but no significant damage. Previous owner tucked some newspaper clippings inside the pages, which resulted in some discoloration on pages. There is also the previous owner's book label on the inside of cover which says "Ex Libris - Olive Virginia Goodwin." Written on the inside of the back cover it says in black pen "When Stevenson recognized his defeat he retold the story told by Lincoln about the boy who stubbed his toe in the dark and said: "I am too big, (or too old to cry) and it hurts too much to laugh." There is also a photograph of Stevenson on the back cover and beside it previous owner wrote "Stevenson spoke often in accents of greatness." See photos above!
