Our 700R4 transmission features all new internal wear components such as clutch discs, bands, thrust washers, seals, and more, along with valve body modifications for improved shift firmness. Externally, each 700R4 transmission includes a chrome oil pan with drain plug, making future transmission oil changes easier. Note that lockup only occurs in 4th gear, and you must supply power to the transmission to activate the lockup feature. We recommend a to make this job easy since the 700R4 lockup kit has the wiring harness and components needed all in one box. Furthermore, the 700R4 uses kickdown, or throttle valve (TV) cable. There are two large 2.078-inch driven gear housings used on the 700R4 to pick from depending upon the driven gear teeth count you are using.
