Description: Description: A splendid and very rare English Antique mid Victorian solid sterling silver beaker, having a cylinder shaped body and stands on a circular shaped pedestal base. The body is beautifully decorated with foliage and floral decoration to the centre and borders decorated with gadrooned patterns with an empty scroll shaped border cartouche. It hasn't been engraved with any presentation inscriptions, initials, monograms or family crest marks. Comes with the original fitted case. It's of an excellent large size, holds 300 ml of liquids and weighs 150 grams of solid sterling silver. Would make an excellent fine addition to anyones collection or is ready to be used for its purpose it was made for. A superb clean example. Makers, Assay office & Date Hallmark: Henry William Curry (Registered 1869), London and 1872 Measurements: Height 11.2 cm, Diameter across top rim 7.8 cm and base 6.8 cm Condition report: Excellent clean condition with no dents, dings, holes, splits or repairs. It's in fabulous clean condition for its age. The interior of the beaker is excellent condition with no stains or marks from use. The top and bottom rims are not out of shape and stands perfectly well with no wobble. Holds up to 300 ml of liquids with no leaks or any holes. Comes with the original case which has been repaired due to wear over its 152 years of age but still opens and closes perfectly shut. The interior of the case is missing some velvet purple coloured material to one side and the exterior does have some wear marks. The English solid sterling silver hallmarks to the underneath of the body are in crisp clean condition with no wear and are all very readable The beaker is not engraved with any presentation inscriptions, monograms, initials or family crest marks. A superb clean example and hard to come by. All my items listed are well cleaned before listing. Any strange marks/shadows in pictures are reflections not damage.
