Unless you have a TDS WATER TESTER and you home water is under 100ppm minimum, preferably under 50ppm! Nutrients that go to the roots of this plant will kill it! So don’t risk it! ALWAYS LEAVE POT W/ PLANT SITTING IN 2”-3” inches of water! 2: LIGHT: FULL SUN or full spectrum plant light of indoors for minimum 8-12hrs to get and maintain purple hue and a happy plant! Keep light 6-10” inches away from plant.3: SOIL:ensure that there’s NO NUTRIENT IN MEDIUM! Avoid miracle grow etc. use the following mixes: 2parts milledpeat to 1part perlite OR USE long fiber New Zealand 50/50 sphagnum moss/ milled peat mix.Some ppl do well planting in live Shagnum moss as well. 4: FERTILIZER: FOLAR FEED ONLY. Aka feed insects to the plant through the pitcher. An Osmocote flower n veg pellet every month also works if your short on bugs, and avoid beetles & hard shelled insects though they can digest them most carnivorous plants don’t like them.
