Description: St Andrew's Abbey Ceramics Saint Bernadette Ceramic Wall Plaque 9"X5.5" Signed By Father Maur Van Doorslaer O. S. B. St Theresa of Lisieux was a Carmelite nun, who died at age 24. She was made famous by her memoir, Journal of a Soul, written at the request of her superior. Theresa is a model for those who live in obscurity, their great worth known only to God. This ceramic wall plaque is in satisfactory condition. It does have a few chips along the edges, which I have shown in the pictures. It also has some black ink run in Theresa's face. It is therefore priced lower due to condition. Please see all pictures for a better description of the condition of this item. These ceramic plaques originated from Saint Andrew's Abbey monastery, which was established in 1955 and is located in valyermo california. These plaques are all hand crafted and painted and kiln fired twice to give an almost porcelain quality. Each plaque is a beautiful depiction inspired by God's holy word.
