Description: It is one of the more unusual castings from the very collectible series of religious statuettes made in the Philippines out of the volcanic ashes from the catastrophic eruptions of Mount Pinatubo in 1991. The statue depicts St Anne with the Child Mary, and it stands 9 1/2” tall on a pediment base 2 3/4” square. There is a protective green felt square affixed to the bottom, with information on the making of the figure on the label there. This is cast from the volcanic ashes in a resin matrix giving a soft pebbly beige hue, graded in Very Fine condition.
