Description: Stanley Bailey No. 4 Type 17 Smooth Bottom Plane Measures 10 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide, and 5 1/4" tall. Great condition for its age. The plane body has some surface rust and japanning loss as shown. The iron and lever cap are in great condition with some spots of discoloration/ surface rust as shown. The frog has some japanning loss and surface rust as shown. The steel adjustment nut has some surface rust, as does the adjustment mechanism. The wood handles / totes have scratches, dents, and minor damage from age and use. The rear tote does not seat 100% securely and has a bit of wiggle side to side.
