Description: 5-T9-A This is a Stanley Bailey No 5 jack plane, Type 9 (1902 - 07). The plane has been cleaned, lapped, and sharpened. The iron is ground and honed to 30° at 1200 grit. The plane came to me devoid of japanning, so it has been stripped, cleaned and repainted with three coats of a high lacquer paint. Please take notice of a small chip on the left nose of the body, and there is some light grafitti probably identifying a past owner. Once adjusted, the plane cuts beautifully. It's a shame the original finish was gone. Shipping will be USPS Priority Flat Rate Mail (medium box). If I am able to combine shipping, I will be happy to do so, just bring it to my attention, keeping in mind that weight and size issues may (but not necessarily) increase the rate. Payment is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction. We will make every effort to ship the next day once payment is made.
