Description: Vintage 1776-1976 AMERICAN REVOLUTION BICENTENNIAL issue brass-frame canoe folder with mirror-polished blades with gold-etched Liberty Bell on the main blade and serial number on the pen blade. This AMERICAN REVOLUTION BICENTENNIAL issue was made in Japan in mid-1970th; it was a limited-addition run of just 1776 serial-numbered knives. The knives are still in their original "wood crate" boxes and in correctly-numbered packaging (SN 1303, 1305, 1319, 1329, 1358). The knife is about 3-3/4" /9.5 cm closed; the main blade is about 2-3/4” /7 cm; pen blade is about 1-1/4"/3.2 cm; blades are very sharp; tips are intact. Solid brass frame is in excellent condition - no spots or discoloration from storage. Original packaging are in great shape; this set will be a welcome edition to any collection. Manufactured in Japan for Star Company - a long-gone Knoxville, TN based importer of mainly Japan-made cutlery products. This little beauty is about 3-3/4" / 9.5 cm closed; the main blade is about 2-3/4” / 7 cm; pen blade is about 1-1/4" / 3.2 cm; both are mirror-polished surgical stainless steel. The blades are very sharp; tips are intact. Solid brass frame is in excellent condition - no spots or discoloration from storage. Original wood box and retail packaging are in great shape as well. This 1976 American Revolution commemorative set will be a welcome edition to any collection. I have four (4) identical knives left.
