Description: 2022 Starling Murmur, Size XL (v2.5) (full suspension mountain bike frame) Note that this is a v2.5 frame. The only difference between this frame and the current v3 is this doesn’t have an aluminum seat post insert, doesn’t use a separate seat tube collar (this has it integrated), and it doesn’t have the adjustable shock mount. Everything else is the same. This frame does use the v3 swing arm, so you can still adjust the amount of travel using a longer shock if you purchase a different swing arm from Starling which they now sell. Front triangle built in Bristol, UK using Reynolds 853 heat treated tubing. Rear triangles are all made by ORA in Taiwan, using heat treated chromoly. I love this frame, I built it up in the fall of 2022 and have been riding Starling bikes for several years now. Have to stop mountain biking due to back issues unfortunately. This frame has very low miles. Since building it I have maybe 2-3 months of riding on it as I was off the bike most of 2023, and have only tried again for a short time this year. It’s been well cared for, and had wrap over the paint for the whole time. This is the graphite grey which I don’t believe you can get any longer. Both front and rear triangles are painted. The only minor marks are on the swing arm as expected. Some of the light spots I photographed are actually just some clear coat separation, but not scratches or dings. I put a fresh coating of T-9 Boeshield in the head and seat tubes (all other tubs are sealed). Note that the swing arm will be removed for shipping since I can use a smaller box that way. It’s very easy to put on (and maintain the bearings as well), super simple. Pull the axle out (5mm Allen key to pull the small bolt out); Remove 3-4 of the 3mm bolts on the silver truss support on the front of the arm to move it out of the way; Put the swing arm in place, put the axle through the frame, tighten with 5mm and 8mm wrenches; Tighten the two 5mm pinch bolts; Tighten the 3mm bolts on the truss support, and you’re done.
