What is weighted? Weighted chess pieces have metal slugs inside of them. Many people use the term triple weighted to describe chess sets and but it can be misleading as many people believe the pieces will weigh three times what a basic piece does. When purchasing a weighted set it is always best to ask what the set actually weighs if it is not listed. This weighted set is made of rugged, durable plastic and each piece has a felted base. Our sets come standard with two queens. The Kings in each set are 3 3/4” tall, have a 1 1/2” base, and weigh 54 grams. The entire set weighs approximately 2 pounds 2 ounces. These pieces come packaged in resealable bags. With your purchase, you'll receive one (1) set of thirty four (34) chessmen, 17 of each color shown, which includes two queens in each color.***NOTE*** - The gold in the picture varies from the actual color of the chess pieces. The lighting used does not help to accurately depict what the pieces look like. It is a khaki gold color as the description says which means is a darker gold.
