STEIN 023 - US MILITARY STEIN 1959 - NAMED - Engineer Battalion, Germany

Description: I am Retired and Downsizing my Stein Collection after 30+ years . I wish to concentrate on my R.C.A.F. and German Military steins. I had my US Military steins listed as 200+ group to sell on eBay but had no offers. So I am selling one at a time. This stein was bought off eBay years ago and I have no additional information on the stein or the person for whom it is named. Offering this US Military stein in the standard Porcelain body made after WWII. It has a pewter lid with a bulldozer finial. It has the usual handle with the bump in the middle and the usual naked lady lithophane. Lithophane is undamaged. Gold handle highlights, body bands and gold lettering for the name are worn off in spots. Decoration is all hand-painted. Pewter lid is undamaged, 5 ring hinge operates smoothly and there is no movement in the pewter on the handle. 1/2 liter stein 7 inches tall with another 3 inches for lid. Named for Lt. KIRMIT H. BATES JR. 1959 10th ENGINEERS BN. . Shield on front that I assume is for the Engineer Battalion. On the sides are a castle and the shield for the 3rd DIVISION. Shipping/handling time has been increased to 10 days from 3 due to eBay's changes to payment methods and forwarding payment policies. Paypal payments are my preference- protection for buyer and seller. Other forms of payment offered by eBay are also accepted. Due to eBay fee policies no shipping cost reductions refunds will be given after sending payment. Overseas shipping possible at Buyer’s expense with a $5 reduction but again Buyer MUST send a “Request for Total” and wait for my Invoice before sending payment. Shipping can also be arranged by Buyer via UPS or DHL pick-up or via Family or Surrogate who would forward the item to the buyer. Refunds will be at buyer’s expense and non-refundable and only given after having received the item via Tracked method.
