It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted by the well known Steinbach company. It features Santa with gifts and musical angels. When the music is playing, the upper platform rotates.The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Jingle Bells". To wind it up, just turn the key clockwise. There is a stopper on the side, too, that works most of the time.The music box is in great condition and seems to be complete, but the paint is flaking off the platform and large areas of the base. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. It is very rare, not new and perfect, but charming.It measures about 8 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Dates back to the late 1940s.
