Description: STERLING SILVER FOOD PUSHER WATROUS MFG. CO. WALLINGFORD, CT – 1896 Plain and simple – a toddler food pusher. Manufactured in Wallingford, CT circa 1896 – 98 by Watrous Mfg. Co. Watrous Mfg. Co. was established in 1896 and by 1898 became one of the original companies to become part of International Silver Co. There is a monogram at the tip of the handle. I read it as ‘E H G’. The handle has a slight down tipt. The underside of the handle has the manufacturer’s mark: Crescent W STERLING. The piece measures 2-3/4" in length and the blade is 1-1/2" wide. This solid sterling toddler food pusher is in BEAUTIFUL as found estate condition with no dings, no dents, no bends. It is an estate item which would have surface marks consistent with age and previous ownership. We have not polished it as we leave that to the discretion of the purchaser.
