A layer of gold vermeil covers the sterling silver on this piece. The enamel work depicts a detailed seascape with a Viking ship on the water against the backdrop of a snow covered mountain. The tint of the sky suggests a setting sun and there are seagulls flying about. The fact that this is a C clasp suggests that this is one of Holth's earlier pieces, probably 1940s.
