Thought to be salesman samples by some, this is actually what was used as a gift certificate when someone wanted to buy a full sized hat as a gift which allowed to recipient to choose their own style and size. This hat box and hat are from the 1950's. (Verified with vintage advertisements I have in my own collection). Hat is in excellent condistion and box is in fair condition. Box bottom is partially separated as shown.
