This is a wonderful edition of Barbara Tuchman's masterpiece history of General Joseph Stilwell's time in China before and during the Second World War. It is beautifully illustrated with new illustrations chosen for this edition. The book is in very good to fine condition. The spine is very firm and the cover is clean and appears new. The pages are clear and sharp as are the illustrations. Only flaw is the previous owner has an impression on the blank page before the title page (see photos). The dust jacket is in unclipped and in fine condition. The slip case also is in like new condition with very little wear. The book is about 7" x 10" x 2", 623 pages and about 4-5 lbs.
