Description: Method of payment Stirling Castle, Scotland - 1913 Mentor Gravure In times of peace Scottish royalty came to Stirling to enjoy its comforts, the superb hunting and to hold court – the castle was often the centre of government. Royal building projects like the Great Hall, the Chapel Royal and the Palace of James V, marked it out as one of the most important places in all Scotland. Great image over 100+ years ago This is an original period intaglio-gravure print. This print has a full-page description on reverse (may not be shown). This print is from an issue of The Mentor magazine, which was first published in 1913 (thru 1931) by The Mentor Association, "Established for the Development of a Popular Interest in Art, Literature, Science, History, Nature and Travel". The Mentor Library was vast and covered a wide range of interesting topics. Many of the covers themselves (especially the later color ones) are all very artistic and fine works of art, and are highly collectible! Print has a full-page historical monograph on the back.
