I was working with the homeowner on a project and was able to get the full tour--which was amazing. It still has the capacity to provide power but is not in actual service. I was able to see the and move the controls that would power up the generator. The main control simply regulates the flow of water. A working water wheel is quite a marvel in early engineering. I was greatly impressed that this property owner was taking the maintenance and stewardship of this waterwheel very seriously. It was his intention to maintain it not only for his own family, but for the generations who would follow. I will package this original painting with great care for shipping.
