Description: Our high temp silicone purge plugs can withstand temperatures up to 600 degrees. We recommend keeping these 1-2 inches from the area being welding, but also depends on the heat input. If you are welding closer to the plug, we recommend our aluminum purge plugs which work with any heat range (ALSO AVAILABLE THROUGH EBAY). High temp silicone plugs include a (1) barb fitting, (2) 1/8" NPT sleeves, (1) internal diffuser, and (1) vent fitting. The barb fitting is short to prevent pulling out of the plug as the pipe/tube is moved and repositioned. The diffuser will help distribute the argon smooth and even through the tube/pipe. Our vent fitting will properly vent out the opposite end of where you are welding. --Benefits-- -Easy to use. Our silicone plugs use a 1/8" NPT sleeve which makes it easy to install and remove feed/vent fittings. Simply push then in and push them out and can be transferred to another plug in seconds. -Internal diffuser fitting distributes the argon smoothly and evenly through the tube/pipe. Internal diffuser is often overlooked, but is a very important part of back purging. -1/8" NPT sleeves allow you to adapt your own fittings if needed. You are not stuck with one size like others on the market and don't have to pay extra money for upgrades.
