Description: FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE....! Found in an estate liquidation on the island of Madeira in Portugal, that of a world traveler. Vintage, circa 1970s 14K solid gold tie bar, designed to give the illusion that your tie or scarf was secured with an actual pin, piercing the silk. It does not, just gives that optic. Could also be worn on a woman's neck scarf or cravat. This was an exclusive design by the famous tie firm, Sulka in New York City. No longer in business since 2001...... a curious survivor that is now somewhat of an historical artifact. Signed "Sulka" and "14K", it remains in close to its original condition free of any bends, abrasions or distortions. Measures 2 inches in length and weighs approximately 8 grams. I inserted a standard size playing card in some photos as a reference for size. MUCH OBLIGED
