Description: This wonderful porcelain bowl is done inthe Sumida Gowa style of figures on the edge of a pool or pond looking in orfishing - this unusual form is delft/cobalt/blue on white porcelain as opposedto the polychromatic shades and details usually found in such a piece. Awonderful and charming display of 3 bathing or swimming babies against aswirled blue background. 1 side is open so it can be used as a rice bowl. Bowl measures 8” across. Itstands 2.5” tall to the top of rim. Signed as pictured above - no chips or cracks - mintcondition. I believe it was made between 1900-1940 but Iam not positive. If anyone out there canread the signature, I’d love to know what it says.
