Description: SUPER-VILLAIN CLASSICS : GALACTUS THE ORIGIN #1, published by Marvel Comics in 1983. This is a first printing, and is the 'Regular' cover, with cover artwork by Bob Layton. This issue reprints the origin of Galactus, including material from 'Thor' issue #169, written by Stan Lee, with artwork by Jack Kirby, and has additional new material added, by creators Mark Gruenwald, John Byrne, Ron Wilson, and Jack Abel. The book would grade at around VF-/VF, with general handling and shipping wear, a light vertical 'lip' that runs parallel with the spine on the front and back covers, yellowed pages, a tiny crease in the lower left corner of the back cover, and a few other light marks. The cover was slightly cut off-center, as you can see with the top edge 'sloping' towards the right. The book also has a faint 'old comic book' odor. The pictures show the actual copy that the winning bidder will receive. The issue will be bagged and boarded, and will be carefully packed for shipping.
