I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These novels are in good overall ranging to very good conditions, all with attached spines and great or better inside pages (photo#12 examples). They all have some primarily lighter and external signs of wear. USC and LSCs' jackets have minimal wear. Front jacket's spine edge has 2 light indents, and a small ding/depression around its lower half (photo#9 w/illumination). Back jacket also has a small ding/depression near its middle, it shows lightly on the hardcover below. Front and back jackets' top edges have some flaring/scuffing along them, with an adjacent light ~1/2" cover indent on the front near the spine corner, and an adjacent small indent/depression on the back's near the outer corner. Additional light ~3/4" diagonal indent adjacent the back jacket's edge near the spine corner. Front and back jackets' bottom edges have lighter but still present shelf-scuffing/flaring along them, with an additional ~1/2" scuff/adjacent jacket indent on the front near its middle. FTOC and BTOC possess light scuffs if any. FBOC has a tiny/light indent/scuff, BBOC has a small indent/scuff that shows as a light scuff on the hardcover below. Back jacket has a ~3" vertical indent/scratch/depression near its center, with two lighter ~3/4" ones nearby, and a very light ~2" one crossing it (all in photo#10 w/illumination). Three more light ~1/2" ones near the page edge's lower half. ***Vol 2: Very good overall condition - solid spine, great inside pages. Few signs of lighter wear, primarily affecting its externals. USC has very light scuffing, with a very light ~3/4" indent around the corner on the front cover. LSC has light scuffing. Front and back covers' top edges, and front cover's bottom edge all have little if any shelf-wear/scuffing. Back cover's bottom edge has light shelf-scuffing. FTOC and BTOC possess tiny scuffs/bends, they go thru ~1/4 and ~10 pages, respectively, as light bends. FBOC has a small scuff/bend, goes thru ~1/4 pages as a light bend. BBOC has a very light ~1/2" indent around it, with a small scuff/bend at the extreme corner that goes thru ~2/3 pages as a light bend. Front cover has a very light ~5" vertical indent/depression near the page edge (photo#11 w/illumination, book on top), shows lightly on ~3 pages. Back cover has a light ~1/2" indent/depression near its center, shows on pages lightly, mostly seen under direct illumination. Light ~3" vertical scratch near the BBOC. Book has a light top outer quadrant flex/bend. ***Vol 3: Good condition - attached spine, great inside pages. Some mostly lighter and external signs of wear. USC has light compression, with a small ding/indent where it meets the front cover. USC has light scuffing, with a tiny ding/indent where it meets the front cover and a small one where it meets the back cover. Front and back covers' top and bottom edges all have some light levels of shelf-wear/scuffing. Tiny scuff/ding on front's bottom edge near the spine corner that shows lightly on ~10 pages. ~1/2" scuff/very light cover indent on back's top edge near the outer corner. FTOC and BTOC have tiny creases/scuffs/bends, back's goes thru ~15 pages as an indent, and thru most as a light bend. FBOC has a very light ~1/2" indent around it, with a tiny scuff/bend at extreme corner that goes thru ~10 pages lightly. BBOC has a small crease/scuff/bend, goes thru ~1/5 pages as a light indent, and thru ~2/3 as a light bend. Front cover's spine edge has a small indent near its middle. Its page edge has a light ~1" scuff near its middle (photo#11 w/illumination, book on the bottom) that shows lightly on ~2 pages, and a horizontal ~1" indent/scratch/small depression starting adjacent the edge towards the FTOC. Light ~1/2" crease/depression near front cover's center, with another very light ~1" depression lower down the cover. Back cover has a light ~1/2" crease/depression towards its lower half. Spine adhesive is beginning to lost its effectiveness where it meets at the inside back cover page, but is still currently attached.
