The obverse also bears a bat as the notes registration device. On the back are the Centrale Bank van Suriname logo and Passiflora quadrangularis flowers that are also known as giant granadilla. In the background is the Central Bank van Suriname headquarters building located at the Waterkant in the capital city of Paramaribo. This 140 x 70 mm paper banknote has a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBVS 5. Its watermarks are an image of the CBVS headquarters and an electrotype CBVS.
