Description: A real beauty! Offering a vintage early 1940's Stromberg-Carlson MC-51 "Fatboy" Dynamic microphone. It's identical to the Shure model 55 "Fatboy", just licensed to sell through Stromberg-Carlson, a U.S. telecommunications equipment and electronics manufacturing company formed in 1894 by two by Swedish immigrants. (Shure licensed their products through a variety of audio/visual, public address companies in order to reach a wider customer base.) This 1940's model is a real looker, has been kept in excellent condition with very little signs of use/wear. Has has new Deep Burgundy interior fabric installed as well as a new dynamic element that closely matches or exceeds the original factory specs. (Check out the voice sample on the listing video.) The maker's badge has faded from handling, and has good mic stand threads. A brand new 5' Amphenol to male XLR cable is included, as well as the heavy-based Atlas desk stand with chromed riser tube. (We can swap the XLR plug for a 1/4" male phono plug at no charge if you prefer.) Overall height is 12" ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. Also, save with combined shipping on multiple purchases.** If you don't need the stand or cable, we can credit you back for those. ** WE BUY OLD MICROPHONES...INVENTORY REGULARLY UPDATED **** Click on my eBay username for details.
