Description: ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR MEASURING 8.5" X 11.25". THERE IS MASKING TAPE ON THE VERSO USED AS A HINGING TAPE. THERE IS DISCOLORATION TO THE VERY OUTER EDGES WHERE THE PAINTING HAD BEEN UNDER A MAT. THERE IS A TINY CHIP IN BOTTOM EDGE BUT THAT WAS THERE AT THE TIME OF ORIGINAL FRAMING AND IS BELOW THE LOWER UNPAINTED EDGES. I RETAINED THE LABEL WITH THE TITLE "STORMY WEATHER" TO VERIFY THE TITLE OF THE PIECE. THE FRAME AND MAT WERE IN SUCH POOR CONDITION AS TO MAKE SHIPPING THEM A WASTE OF $30 OR SO I will include the small label on the rear, which has tape on it. The paper it is on is extremely brittle THE PAINTING IS DATED 1933. It appears the artist died in 1969 and lived in New York. The Brooklyn Museum does have a piece of her work titled "Jersey Shore-Winter", though it is not on display. That would then suggest that this image is of a New York or New Jersey shoreline, but who knows for sure. PLEASE USE ZOOM FUNCTION TO INSPECT ALL PHOTOS. ff7bag
