Description: T Bar Bunkhouse This Bunkhouse was part of the T bar Headquarters in Lynn County. The lean-to at the side afforded the space for two additional headquarters necessities: a blacksmith shop and storage. It's now a dilapidated old building, it's windmill lies broken on the ground in front of it adding a haunting feeling to the scene. Dimension of actual picture: 5 3/4" by 9"Dimensions of the page including white background: 8 3/4" by 11 3/4" Mondel Rogers (1946-) About the Artist:Mondel's family moved as pioneers to Texas from Tennessee in the early 1800's. He grew up on a ranch south of Sweetwater and graduated from the Texas Tech University with a degree in architecture. He took up painting and combined it with his love of the history of the Texas Plains. This painting is one of a series of works he did as a visual documentation of the golden age of ranching. The series shows the ranches, bunkhouses, and other buildings from 1870-1917 as they were when he painted them in 1970's. Some are still running ranches, others are deserted shells. VG Condition. This print is a book plate. It has been carefully removed from a vintage book. The back of the print has a different picture on it.
