Description: Two beautiful pins carved and painted by Yoneguma and Kiyoka Takahashi. If you do not know the story of the Takahashi's and their amazing birds, do take the time to look it up. The birds are perched on small wooden branches with twisted copper wire legs and feet. Date: 1950-80s Measurements: 2-1/4" by 1-1/4" Hallmarks: Unsigned, attribution based on construction, quality and push pin attachment Condition: The male (with the red on his head) is in good condition but is missing a bit of paint on the underside as seen in pics. The female is in great condition with a small crazing crack on her underbelly and some lines (crazing?) on her tail as seen in pics. Their faces and details are all in great condition. The male is the one on the top of the main pic and second pic and seen in the first pictures. The female is the one on the bottom in the main pic and second pic and seen in the last four pictures. They come as a pair. If you would like to see more pictures I am happy to send them.
