The condition of this dog is incredible. It has exquisite painting, wonderful details, a fantastic alert wide eyed expression - it really is just the best!!!!! It was made in either Germany, France or Austria and possibly by Goldsheider and dates to c1870. It is close to life size! It is so very rare to find these pugs and in this condition with this incredible character - just a dream! The condition of the piece is wonderful. There is no damage that I can see. The pug comes from a wonderful collection of pugs and other animals which we will be listing. The pug is 9 inches (23 cm) long and 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) tall.
