Marbled endpapers. Printed in Poliphilus type with Centaur initials on Arnold's mould-made paper. Top edge gilt. Illustrated with 12 wood engravings by Clifford Webb and 3 maps by Mina Greenhill. Housed in the original brown cloth-covered slipcase (VG+ condition). Book protected with a clear archival Grafix Dura Lar dustwrapper. CONDITION: Superficial 1 cm scratch at top of spine. Faint, barely discernible foxing on a handful of pages (see final two photos). Otherwise in fine condition. This GCP edition features some of Clifton Webb's finest wood engravings.
