Description: The story of a hunter who lives alone in a log house where the forest ran down to the sea until one day he meets a mermaid and he learns to call the dolphins and speak to the seals.  He finds other animals and brings them to live in the house and although they live happily something else was needed. Price clipped dust jacket is in overall good condition with minor bumps and nicks to top and bottom as well as some light soiling and a stain to bottom corner at back.  Pale yellow boards with red lettering to spine are in very good condition. Gift inscription to first cover page.  Small spots to pages 25 & 26 and some sun tanning to page edges but overall internal pages are clean and unmarked.
