The record will have top gloss. The cover will be free from any ring wear, splits, or handwriting. VG++ : Not quite Near Mint but a super clean, desirable record. VG+ : The record or cover will show signs of wear but no significant defects. VG : Obvious signs of wear but the record still has life in it. VG does not mean beat. VG Minus : The record or cover will show moderate to heavy wear. For a common record this would not be an acceptable grade. For an in-demand, rare record it should be considered.
