A lot of of these books were published from 1860-1950. As a homeschool Mom, I found these books to be the BEST for teaching sentence structure, vocabulary, and syntax. At the same time, these books would keep my child's interest over and over again. They also delve into curriculum areas of science, language, World and U.S. history, social skills, morals, values and ethics, etc... They directly lead into other books and other areas of study. These are NOT REPRINTS or PRINT ON DEMAND which typically have missing words, sentences and/or entire pages. They are NOT DIGITAL COPIES. By having your child actually hold an original book in their hands, they own it. They become invested in it and aren't distracted by the internet or chat or other applications that a digital copy may encourage as well. It pains me to say goodbye to these books, but my hope is someone else will appreciate them as much as we did. We are a smoke free home. Please see my other book listings. They include Oliver Optic (a.k.a William Taylor Adams), James Otis, Robert Lawson, C.S. Forester, Ruth Sawyer, Dudley Pope and more. Thanks for looking!
