About the Author- About The Author: Frederic Charles Fraser (1880-1963), an English entomologist, specialized in Odonata, particularly dragonflies. After military service in India as a lieutenant colonel surgeon, he dedicated himself to dragonfly research, primarily at the British Museum (Natural History). His extensive collection is housed there. Correspondence with A. Eric Gardner is archived in the Natural History Museum, London, while his exchanges with Irish odonatologist Niall McNeill are in the Oxford University Museum. Fraser, a fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, authored key works, including three volumes on the Odonata of British India, Ceylon, and Burma (1933-1936). Additionally, he explored the origin and descent of the Odonata order (1954), proposed a reclassification (1957), and produced a handbook on Australasian dragonflies (1960).
