Please see all photos as part of the description, condition and for measurements. No box or paperwork. From 1986 The Franklin Mint released three collections of Curio Cabinet Cats, 39 pieces in total, at the issue rate of one a month. The first collection was 15 Cats from 1986, the second collection of 12 Cats from 1988, and the third and last with 12 Cats shortly after. Each cat was handcrafted in a variety of different materials and represent an art style or tradition from around the world as well as from different eras or periods of art. From the Han and Ch'ing Dynasties of China, Ancient Egypt and through to a 19th Century Staffordshire cat, 20th Century Art Deco etc. Most were produced by artisans in Taiwan and Korea. The first edition of 15 were so popular that Franklin Mint ran out of stock and they had to commission more than one factory to produce some of the cats. This resulted in more than one variety of some of the cats - the "same" cat may come in slightly different sizes and shapes with and minor colour variations
