Description: A nice copy of this 1889 book by Willis Fletcher Johnson published by J. W. Keeler & Co., Philadelphia, PA. 24 full plate B&W photographic illustrations, one map, 459 pages, 7.5" x 5" format. The author was a journalist, and lecturer who had a twenty-year tenure as the foreign and diplomatic editorial writer for The New York Tribune. Green cloth boards with somewhat faded gold titles and a white mark. Corners very lightly bumped, spine more so. Hinges and binding tight and all pages present and attached. Some foxing especially around page 50 and one page there nibbled (may have been when the pages were cut in production. See picture). Overall, a very good copy. Free shipping in the USA>
