Description: I have up for auction what has to be considered the top Kid's program, that really did lead to every kids program in the future!The Howdy Doody Show!This is a full episode of the 1950's series, a half hour long, (slightly shorter than that, as, except for Buffalo Bob personally "hawking" a product, there are no other ads on the program, but then, this is the way it was put on super 8). This is a rare early show, in that Buffalo Bob is asking the kids how they like the new set for the show, which puts it fairly early. It also has the bonus of having a guest star, the western character actor Gabby Hayes, (who played "sidekick" to many western stars in Hollywood). Gabby Hayes had his own show that was on right before the Howdy Doody show, and he does a personal appearance in this episode! This episode has them all, Clarabelle the clown and all the sidekicks, puppet and otherwise, on the Howdy Doody show, not to forget, Howdy Doody, of course.Please note that, while the image quality is OK, it is taken from a 16MM telecine of the episode, so the image quality is passable, but not what you would see on the best super 8 prints, but hey, It's Howdy Doody time. This comes on 2X400ft reels and is the complete episode. The sound, while a little muffled, is passable, but you might consider re-recording the episode for yourself.Thank you for your time and best wishes!
