Description: This is the 1950 first edition hardcover published by Riverside Press, Cambridge. It has the original jacket, but the jacket is very tattered. Someone who is somewhat skillful at reconstructing paper may be able to do some repair to the jacket to make it more presentable. There were two vintage newspaper articles tucked into the back front, and I have photographed them, and they have left a shadow on the inside covers. The pages of the book are otherwise generally very clean with the exception of an occasional very, very minor pencil dash – or minor bit of underlining. The cloth covers are still in good shape, as can be seen from the photographs. A bit of a musty smell, but not too harsh. From a non-smoking home. As photographed.
