Description: For sale is the DVD edition of the 2004 action and crime film compilation The Killers. This DVD was released by Brentwood Home Video, distributed by BCI, a Navarre Corporation Company, in 2004. Description 10 Movies on 5 Double-Sided Discs! Target Of An Assassin (1978, 105 mins.): Brimming with suspense and intrigue, this South African-lensed political thriller stars Academy Award-winner Anthony Quinn, as a male nurse afflicted with an incurable illness. With nothing left to lose, he kidnaps a powerful dignitary in hopes that the ransom will support his daughter. Kill Or Be Killed (1993, 97 mins.): While Michael was spending several years behind bars, his brother Charlie spent the intervening years building himself up as a powerful drug lord and stealing his brother's girlfriend. When Michael finally regains his freedom, he's not a happy man, and his sense of loyalty is replaced by a thirst for vengeance. To Kill A Stranger (1983, 89 mins.): Cristina Carver (Angelica Maria) finds herself in dire straits after she arrives to spend some time with her TV-reporter husband (Dean Stockwell), who is visiting a Latin American country run by a military dictator. After a car accident one day, Cristina brings the helpful Col. Kostik (Donald Pleasance) home and then kills him in self-defense when he violently attempts to rape and murder her. Rogue Male (1976, 103 mins.): This made for British television film stars Peter O'Toole as Sir Robert Thorndyke, an aristocrat who takes it upon himself to take out Adolph Hitler. It's 1939, however, and Hitler is not yet recognized as the monster he was. When the assassination attempt fails, Thorndyke is captured and tortured within an inch of his life by the Gestapo, but he manages to escape and make his way back to England. Incident On A Dark Street (1972, 95 mins.): David Canary and Robert Pine play two green law school graduates, sent to work at the Department of Justice's office in Manhattan. The standard-issue "gruff but lovable" father figure/U.S. attorney is played by James Olsen. The first case-load: Getting the goods on a mafia boss, while simultaneously exposing City Hall corruption and tacking down a narcotics operation. Richard Castellano and William Shatner have supporting roles in this intense crime drama. Project Kill! (1977, 94 mins.): Leslie Nielsen stars as Jonathan Trevor, a government agent on the run from his own people. Trevor's former assistant is hired to bring him in, dead or alive. Vic Diaz, a mainstay of the Phillipino exploitation film industry, makes a particularly memorable villain. Funeral For An Assassin (1977, 92 mins.): This actioner plays out against the background of '70s era apartheid. Vic Morrow plays Michael Cardiff, a professional assassin who has been double-crossed by the South African government. In order to carry out his deadly revenge, he goes undercover as a black man and targets the country's most important officials. Kill Castro (1980, 90 mins.): Here's a chilly little slice of Cold War espionage. Stuart Whitman plays Captain Tony, a Key West bar owner who is pressed into taking part in an assassination plot co-organized by the U.S. government and the mob. Tony quickly learns that it's also a set-up and once the deed is done he will be considered expendable. Murder Once Removed (1971, 74 mins.): This made for TV crime thriller has more twists than your average roller coaster. John Forsythe (the voice of Charlie from Charlie's Angels) portrays Ron Wellesley, a doctor who plots to kill one of his patients in hopes of acquiring the other man's wealth and wife. Killing Affair (1986, 100 mins.): Before he hit it big with Robocop, Peter Weller appeared in this taut little psychological thriller. It's 1943 and an ill-mannered, womanizing West Virginia labor boss is found murdered. Soon afterward, Baston Morris (Weller) arrives on the doorstep of the dead man's widow Maggie (Kathy Baker), claiming to have done away with her husband. Morris takes refuge in Maggie's home, and the two embark on a test of wills complicated by their reluctant attraction for one another.
