Description: "Four days later...." I loved this story so much, I felt compelled to bring it to life in some form. Here, Froggie is lunging down/kneeling down, giving Snail a letter for Toad. This is my second Frog and Snail sculpture. I shaped these out of clay, inserted metal wiring in limbs to strengthen the outcome, baked and painted the figures to match the brilliant Arnold Lobel's depiction of Frog and the delivery snail from "The Letter". This is how I imagined the story unfolding. The figures are in a removable glass dome with two types of dried moss. I would recommend keeping the cover on to protect from dust, but I made so many details that I thought whomever enjoys this may appreciate peeking into the scene now and then. The snail may be the most lovely character in the stories :D What devotion....Roughly 5" tall, 4" wide. Note: This listing contains stabilized/preserved moss--for this reason, for longevity--please keep out of direct sunlight. Indoor use only. The sculptures are FIXED. they should not be moved or they will break. This must not be shaken. This piece of art is for a mantel or desktop. Inserted wires have been painted but may be lightly visible protruding out of clay for support. This is not meant for homes with inquisitive children (including pet cat children that knock items off of shelves). This is the first scene I have made from Frog and Toad books. If you'd like to request a scene, I may be able to accommodate. Feel free to message me.
