Description: THE LIFE AND WORDS OF JOHN F. KENNEDY; James Playsted Wood; 1969; Sixth Printing of a very nice memorial to the great JFK, without all the gloom doom and baggage re: his assassination. Published by Scholastic Books in conjunction with Country Beautiful magazine. Softcover. Condition is "Very Good" with one important note: the pages are all faded, and notably so, this based on the fact that they are "paper" in the truest sense. Having mentioned this, also worth mentioning that the fading is not such a distraction, given the odd orange on the front and back covers. A few, two actually, teeny tiny dings (not tears) on front of nearly perfect softcover, one on top edge, other bottom, right at spine. Back softcover is perfect, but shows a bit of fade around the top and right edges, which are white gloss and very prone to fading, even without being exposed to sun. This is primarily a photo tribute, with the many many B/W photos of JFK in all stages of his life, including his infancy and youth dominating, but the text is actually quite well-written, granted, for a younger audience. For the collector of JFK memorabilia, this one is a "must have." This gem will be packed with care using as much upcycled material as possible and Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
