Description: This 1926 copy of The Lucky Bag belonged to my mother, Marie Hollandsworth (nee Marie Baker), given to her by Joseph Leon Wolfe of Coeburn, Virginia. She was from Tazewell, Virginia. My mother attended several dances at the Naval Academy. Leon wanted to marry her, but she said that he was “too polite.” Leon purchased a diamond ring for her when he was in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, he died when his plane crashed into the Potamac River. My mother kept The Lucky Bag. This book is in good condition for its age; however, one may find an occasional tear or yellowing on the 608 pages. The cover shows some wear. This is a rare and unique collectible item from the United States Naval Academy. The Lucky Bag of 1926 is an original piece of military history that will make a great addition to any collection. It is a perfect item for those interested in military academies and American history. The bag is in its original state and has not been signed or reproduced. It was manufactured in the United States and is a genuine piece of memorabilia. This item is perfect for collectors of historical memorabilia and those interested in military history.
