The box set features remastered editions of the respective albums that yielded those hits -- 1986's The Other Side of Life and 1988's Sur la Mer -- as well as 1991's Keys to the Kingdom. Each of these records is augmented with a variety of bonus tracks -- including live performances, single edits, remixes, B-sides and alternate versions -- most of which have never been released. The Polydor Years also boasts a previously unreleased Moody Blues album recorded at the Blossom Music Centre in Cleveland in July 1986, as well as the two-CD live set A Night at Red Rocks with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, which originally was issued in 1993. In addition, the long-out-of-print companion DVD to A Night at Red Rocks is featured in the compilation, as is a documentary about the concert that previously had only been available to Moody Blues fan-club members. The box set is rounded out by a collectible seven-inch blue-vinyl single featuring "Al Fin Voy a Encontrate," a rare Spanish-language version of "I Know You're Out There Somewhere."
