What these people went through being stranded in the FREEZING snow and a place called Hell Creek is horrifying and as the audience, you are right there with them, feeling your feet tingle with frost to the point of inevitable frostbite. You feel the fear and helplessness of this family which includes a baby. They came unprepared, yes, and maybe that was foolish oversight especially for 2 people in the army. But their determination to survive makes up for all that. Jim Stolpa is a real life man that went through hell in heroic pursuit to save his family by walking 50 miles to civilization. He ultimately collapsed with a sad ending...Highly recommend this movie for anyone that hasn't seen it. It's good enough to buy even without seeing it first.
