This is a previously owned hard back book with a price clipped dust jacket, both in very good condition. The book has the title The Works of Plato and shows some discoloration at edges. The pages are clean, tight and intact, but the outside of closed pages shows spotting from weather and/or shelf wear. The dust jacket shows wear at the edges and spine, with discoloration and spotting. I have hundreds of books that have been handed down through generations, plus recent books. Some are in great condition, some showing much use and some damage. A lot of the books came from homes, bay houses or beach houses along the Gulf Coast, back before air conditioning, where there is high humidity and severe weather at times. Especially some of the older books from the early 1900's. We were taught that books are very valuable and should never be destroyed as long as they are still readable.
