Description: Melbert Cary founded the Press of the Woolly Whale in 1928, and this is the first book from it. "The Vision of Sir Launfal" is a narrative poem that centers on the spiritual transformation of the Knight as he progresses on his quest to find the Holy Grail. It is a classic poem, that examines themes of charity, humility, and the true meaning of giving. This particular publication was limited to 200 copies , hand set in the Eve type designed by Professor Rudolph Koch. Truly a scarce edition. This book is in fine condition, showing sunning to the spine and light edge-wear, particularly at the corners. Pages are just slightly tanned, but clean throughout. Text block is tight as well as hinges.
