Description: The Works of Lord Byron, Including the Suppressed Poems and a Sketch of His Life (Complete in One Volume) — by Lord George Byron and J.W. Lake, 1836 Publisher: Grigg and Elliot, Philadelphia (1836) Very rare copy of "The Works of Lord Byron, Including Suppressed Poems and a Sketch of His Life" by J.W. Lake from 1836. Leather boards and binding, marbled front and end pages, and 764 pages (a large book). The boards and binding are solid and tight with some rubbing and shelf-wear. Previous owner's paper label on the inside front board. The pages are generally crisp and clean save for light to moderate foxing on the frontispiece and a signature on the top of the title page. About one quarter of the rest of the book has sporadic spots of light foxing. The last two blank pages have inscription in ink (the page previous has notes in pencil), and the second to last blank page has a chip near the spine. Overall, a very solid and scarce copy of Byron's works from 1836. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!
