Description: On offer is this complete 26 book set of 'The Works of William Makepeace Thackeray', published by Smith, Elder & Co. from 1878 to 1886. This set is fully complete and consists of the first 24 books being part of a '24 volume set', and the 25th ('Miscellaneous') and 26th ('Contributions to Punch') being part of a '26 volume set'. There is also a duplicate copy of the 21st book 'The Rose and the Ring', which is also included. The books generally range from very good to good used antique condition with the expected wear to the boards, foxing on the pages etc. None of the books have major damage and all spines look good on a shelf. I've taken pictures of the first book of the set (Vanity Fair Vol. 1) to give you an idea of the condition, though this book is probably among the worst condition of the set (though not bad at all). I've also shown that the 26th book ('Contributions to Punch'), is part of a '26 volume set'. I'm willing to hear offers, though bear in mind I will be making a loss on postage as eBay won't let me charge more than 9.50. As the set will be around 15-18kg, postage will be double that.
