This elegant, porcelain, oval vegetable bowl is decorated with pale blue flowers and plumes accented with wisps of earth-toned foliage. The scalloped rim is textured with the embossed bows and beading of Theodore Haviland's 'Lamballe' shape (blank) pattern. The end handles are encrusted with glistening, 22K gold. The bottom is labeled with a "Theodore Haviland Limoges France" trademark. Historian Arlene Schleiger identified, numbered and published books containing hundreds of Haviland shape and color patterns. Many Haviland patterns are now referenced by her "Schleiger Numbers". This bowl is decorated with the color pattern for Schleiger 836g. This vegetable bowl measures approximately 11-1/4 inches long, 8-1/2 inches wide and 3 inches deep. This possibly century-old vegetable bowl is in EXCELLENT condition. The colors are rich, and the details are distinct. The finish is lustrous, and the gold is glossy.
